1-0

you guys, i cannot even begin to tell you how amazing our seats were. A-MA-ZING. look and see!

my dad and i were AWFULLY happy about everything:

i was literally jumping around with joy & excitement as soon as we got there, which turned into actual uncontainable glee once we found our (RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME) seats. and obviously, the win sure didn't hurt :-)

additionally, since my dad and i are both huge dorks, we taped the game jusssst in case we made it onto tv. and while you wouldn't have really been able to see us during the normal course of the broadcast, with the power of dvr we totally found ourselves on screen during one of the field goal attempts. it's a little hard to see, since this is a photo of a screenshot on tv, but you can totally make out my #21 jersey here, and my dad is just to the left of me (but waving the giants towel we all got, so he's a little blurrier):

(that was very near the end of the game, so some of the people around us had left already. i'm pretty sure the stadium was at capacity for the majority of the game, though - check out the 2nd picture up above. jam-packed.)

it was a great, great day. my dad rocks. and my redskin-fan coworker is currently wearing my plaxico burress jersey on a lost bet, which makes today a good day as well. BIG BLUE!

  1. So, I don't really know much about sports (those big yellow things are croquet wickets, right?) but even I can tell those are awesome friggin' seats. Sounds like a wonderful afternoon!

  6. Yay! I thought of you when I saw the score from that game. But I had no idea how awesome your seats would be! No wonder you were so gleeful.

  7. Ok, so I fall off the face of the blogger earth for like a week, and you almost die driving and then only a couple of days later you are whooping it up at a Giants game. Impressive! (The seats too!) I laughed out loud at the DVR thing. You ARE uber geek. Can't wait to see you... 11 days!

By the way, the Steelers are 1-0 too. And they were 1-0 FIRST. ;)

  11. As a few other people have noted, the best part of this (in my booze addled brain) is the sharing with Dad part. If this were a MasterCard commercial, that would be the part that ends with "priceless."

  13. You know what's odd? I want to go to games (I'd go to the Cowboys or UT or Baylor) and Mr. A is all meh. That's just wrong.

  14. Glad to see it all worked out.

However as a Pats fan I can't say Go Giants!

  15. Great seats are made better when they're shared with people you care about. Looks like you and dad had a great time.

I once taped a Heels basketball game where I had front row behind the goal seats. Apparently, the cameraman liked my T-shirt cause he kept zooming in on it. Perhaps because it said "Remember when sex was safe and Rugby was dangerous?"
