weekend update

wedding: lovely! charming! two people i really like, and really like together.

williamsburg: waaaay less humid than last time. no triple digit temps in site. hurrah!

traffic: could have been way, way worse.

shoes: STILL NOT EFFING ANYWHERE TO BE FOUND.

thank you all for the suggestions! i am depressed to report, though, that they were neither in my suitcase or magically returned to my room / closet in my absence. i would like to contribute another hearty WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK to the universe at large. i'll be holding a memorial service later in the week once the search efforts are halted due to overwhelming futility.

  1. Still no shoes? Something smells fishy, and it's not your feet, they smell like Doritos, but who could have accidentally/purposely taken your shoes?

  2. But on the plus side, at least you know you hadn't temporarily gone crazy in your last post. Either you're permanently crazy, or the shoes are really gone.

  3. Hrmmm my favourite lip balm has just up and disappeared too. I smell a conspiracy theory coming on...

  4. Okay, okay. I'll return the shoes. I just wanted something to remember you by in the event of another extended blog hiatus.

And isn't pretty much everywhere less humid than northern Virginia?

  5. I'd check the whereabouts of your roommate, sisters, brothers and all others who might have access to your room while you're gone. Sounds like your very special shoes are now someone else's very special shoes.

  6. Wow, that sucks that your shoes are still missing. After breaking my ankle a couple years ago, I know what you mean about finding comfy shoes - they're worth more than their weight in gold!

  7. That's a big bummer about the shoes. I am looking under my desk right now at one lonely, really cute shoe, and hoping that it's mate is under there as well.

  8. Ha ha ha! I have your shoes and the sock you are missing from the dryer.

  9. I'd attend the service and bring flowers, but I'm all the way over here in Chicago. Sorry about the shoes. That is so frustrating.

  10. Oh, that's terrible about the shoes. I just caught up on your last post. I lost the only pair of sneakers my feet really ever loved about 10 years ago. I never got over it. I feel for you.
