we at least got the leak fixed

in addition to my wall crumbling to bits, something wacky happened with our internet. sooo i have no internet at home, and am (happily, actually) swamped at my new job with no time to post. so. uh. sorry :-) i've been perusing your blogs even though i've been bad with the commenting, really!

in the meantime, here are some cartoons matt forwarded to me this morning...

  1. Sorry you lost internet at home, but happy to hear you're gladly busy at work. Nice cartoons too!

  2. Wait - you are ENJOYING your job...? I'm not familiar with the concept... Unless you are like an ice-cream taster or something...

I guess I'll just have to learn to have patience - heck, I managed before after your surgery, right?? ;)

  3. *L* I remember $.33 per gallon and they did wash your windows. Everyone choked when the price went to $.65 per gallon in 1973.

As an FYI...do the CPI adjustment and see what the price of gasoline is today compared to then. The number is interesting

The times, they have a changed

  4. Too funny! And yay for busy jobs! I hate sitting around like a lump at work -- give me a swamp any day.

  5. I wish I didn't love driving so much. I need to wean myself off of the car so I can get rid of it. Damn gas prices.

Glad to hear you're happily busy. Stress is much easier to deal with when you actually care about doing what's making you stressed. I don't know if that sentence made sense, but I know what I mean!

  6. Yeah.. happily swamped at work? Do you work in like... heaven? I "like" my job, as far as it goes, but I still feel like the less I work the better.

And it's nice to know that my friends are forwarding me the same cartoons as you. I got them from a Brazilian, actually.

  7. I pass these along...hilarious.

And I'm with Jen...really pretending to be busy is more taxing than being busy. But a good hours to goof off and blog is also good.
