i'm back... le sigh...

hi all... just a quick lil' post to let you know i am home safe, un-rioted, un-surrendered-to (although it would be pretty neat to control a country), un-french-kissed-by-french-boys, and un-std-infected (thanks for the concern, walter!). sadly, i am also un-believably behind now at work (200 emails! whee!) so the pictures and stories will have to wait a touch. um, i'll also have to pare down the NEARLY 300 PHOTOS I TOOK. yes. in 4 days. nearly 300. there are a lot of doubles, to be fair (flash / no flash of same scene.. hush, this way i'll be sure to have good ones, ok?) and about 299 are me and matt's heads in front of various famous french monuments.

but! it was WONDERFUL and fabulous and delicious and very very cold and did i mention delicious?! YUM! no snails, mojo, but we did have plenty of foie gras and stinky cheese and saucisson and fondue and wine and and and .... and we also snuck real cheese through customs and brought back loads of pate and foie gras and wine, teehee. therefore, you all have an open invitiation to come drink french wine and eat french pate with me in virginia, ok? (if you make plans to come here, no disaster should strike.. it's just when i go somewhere else.) just make sure to get here before matt and i eat it all up...

  1. Welcome back!! I'd love to come drink the wine, you can keep the pate and gross goose stuff (lol). Unfortunately, I don't expect to be in VA any time soon, therefore I'm sure the wine would be gone by the time I'd actually make it. Sounds like you had a great time - looking forward to the pics!!

  3. Did you bring back any champagne? Did you? Did you?

Ooops. What I meant to say is that I'm so glad you had fun and you're home safe.

  4. Man, you're making me want cheese really badly. The Chinese mostly think cheese is disgusting, and you can't find it in stores here. Yoghurt? Yes. Milk? Of course. Cheese, no way. It's sad.

I know what you mean about the pictures. I photoshop pictures of your heads in front of every landmark photo I take.
