two weeks ago, i turned 31. i was pretty darn unexcited about it - 30, at least, is a milestone! something to celebrate! 31 is just... being in your 30s. yaaaay.
as a result, i mostly ignored my birthday. plus, i was up in NJ celebrating Fakesgiving (...more on that later. i've been meaning to write about it for ages but have not managed to pull the photos off my camera yet) so we had better things to focus on, anyway.
but TODAY! today is chris's birthday, and i'm far more excited to celebrate his than i was to celebrate mine. it's the third time i've had the opportunity to celebrate his birthday: we had just started dating 2 years ago when our birthdays rolled around.
two years later, we're living together. i'm happy and in love. that's a pretty good milestone, as far as i'm concerned.
(oliver is kind of an asshole when we're sleeping and he'd prefer we not be. so he'll climb onto delicate things - like computer monitors - or knock vases off of shelves to speed along our awakening. so i bought chris a nerf gun that he can shoot oliver with, without ever having to get out of bed.)
