we took the "drink me" theme pretty seriously

you guys! the famous dj was here in town all last week, and i have yet to blog about it! also i only managed to take pictures during one evening during that entire time, so basically i suck in multi-faceted ways.

but! while she was here we went out with some of my friends, saw a concert, played shuffleboard with other friends, looked at apartments, day drank, were fed homemade shawarma by the amazing marie, and also had a wee night out with some of the local gals at Madhatter.

where, fyi? you can order a hotdog COVERED IN MAC & CHEESE. IT IS AS AMAZING AS IT SOUNDS, AND YES IT REQUIRES ALL CAPS WHEN DISCUSSING IT:
so! anyway! after a delightful dinner with many of the dc girls, a few of us stayed for some dancing. turns out the drinks there are really good, too. uh, REALLY good.
so good that most of my pictures look a lot like THAT one. where it's obvious that we're having a great time, and it's equally obvious that i should not be in charge of taking photos.

and yet! i continued to take them!

please excuse our sweatiness, as we had been dancing for quite some time at this point. we were also busy getting hit on A LOT, which was equal parts hilarious and awesome. after one guy went into quite the opening spiel to get our attention, then did a laughably transparent hand off to get me talking to his friend, i looked at him pityingly and said "so, you guys into the mystery method, i see?" which, turns out, takes the wind out of an aspiring PUA's sails rather effectively.

after drinking and dancing and flirting and kissing (HEE!), we called it a night. while throwing gang signs and refusing to stand on the right, obviously, because we are HARDCORE, Y'ALL.
(marie was jealous about the totally sweet black bar that dj gets to protect her anonymity, so i gave her some fly sunglasses here.)

  1. Eeee, first comment!! Honestly, I think being anonymous is the best choice I've ever made.

Anyone who posts pics of me has to make me look like I'm on COPS.

When are we having more pink drinky drinks?

  3. I think heart-shaped rainbow sunglasses should permanently replace the black anonymous bar from now on. In everything.

  4. Looks like an awesome week of fun.

By the way, aren't you supposed to warn us with a little NSFW on some of those links? I'm pretty sure my boss wouldn't appreciate walking up and seeing boobs plastered all over my screen. =)

  6. Glad you had a good time!

It is almost lunch here and I would like to have that hot dog RIGHT NOW!

  7. Ohhhh ... I thought Marie really was wearing those sunglasses. I was all "I WANT THOSE." Now I am sad.

  8. That looks like one fun time!

That macaroni on a hot dog is insane though. I'm trying to decide if it's as bad as KFC's double down. Probably not.

And look at you all breaking the Metro etiquette rules. A bunch of rebels I tell you.

  9. Now I need to go out and find me some heart-rainbow glasses because that looks just too awesome.

Ok let's go back for some more yummy goodness and pink drinks!

  10. All sorts of awesome sauce. I'm totally bummed that I missed out because of my gimpy leg. Oh well, when I am recovered we'll do it, I'm sure. Great recap!
Also, I throw some wicked Jersey gang signs. I'll be practicing until the next night out.

That, and please let's do it again soon, 'kay?

  12. Ha! Looks like you all had a blast! (And such an attractive group -- no wonder you were being hit on a lot.)

There is something kinda' sexy about that sweet black bar DJ is sportin'! Did she run into things a lot because she could not see?

  13. Oh my god. Your life is too much fun. AND, I think I love you in that tank top. Love it.

I think I need some Alice time real soon.

  14. Clearly, I could not keep up with you -- I had to click on those links just to know what you were saying -- and then I was REALLY glad my teenage sons did NOT walk into the room! LOL I love that you called the guy on his methodology.

  15. I want that hot dog with the mac and cheese. Asap.

Also, *so* glad you called that guy out. I love when it's so obvious.

  16. I shall never tell Mr. A such a hotdog exists. He will be morbidly obese in a matter of days.
