it's march! i should write a post.

things! they have been going on! but i have not been writing about ANY of them, or downloading pictures of any of it, because the things are happening too quickly one on top of the other and i can't seem to make the time for practical issues like downloading photos from my camera to flickr before work.

(that's when i feed the cats, and let me assure you, getting up 5 minutes earlier does NOT appear to be in the cards. it's either download photos or don't starve the cats. the cats are pretty vocal in this matter.)

i've been to williamsburg to see the lovely shannon and her family; i've been to new orleans to cheer katie and her friends on at the half marathon; i've been preparing madly for this year's scavenger hunt. i have not been blogging. or returning emails in a timely fashion.

one thing i did (oddly) find time for? finally editing my photos from dubrovnik from last october. this is because in new orleans it was the most amazing weather in pretty much the history of the world (eg: upper 50s on saturday! SIXTIES ON SUNDAY!) and it had been far, far too long since i'd been able to bask in the sun like that. like more or less since that dubrovnik trip. so i finally took the time to pull those photos into a flickr set, and.... maaaaaaaan. i want to be HERE:

the full set is here if you, like me, want to torture yourself with places where the forecast is not for snow (AGAIN OMG).

  10. I nearly climbed through the monitor but pulled back just in time before I fell and dashed my head on the rocks.

Can I go on vacation with you? I think you would be much more fun as a travel companion than my husband & sons.

  11. Oh, yeah... I just got done shoveling 6-7 inches of snow to make a path to my neighbor's front door, because it hadn't melted away in the past 3 weeks!

  13. I almost don't even believe in snow anymore; like the idea of more is just a nightmare.

But I do believe in pretending I'm in sunnier places.

  14. Totally unfair of you to post these photos as we prepare for a(nother) Nor'easter.

I'm so glad you came to visit! Come back soon, ya hear?

  16. You got to cheer on Katie in NOLA? So cool! How'd she do? I was thinking about her over the weekend and haven't gotten my head out of my ass to ask her myself. =)
