this week's words were sour and salty. at 8am - before coffee, people - i'm afraid i'm pretty darn literal, not very creative, and a slave to materials close at hand. so i give you sour:
and salty:
I KNOW. who would have thought to use SALT for SALTY? donations to the Alice's Brain Trust welcome.
to make up for it, i suggest you go peruse this set on flickr instead, which is an evening we spent flicking a chinese yo-yo around while bella practiced her circus techniques. she's got some air for a teeny little cat :-)
edited to add: boy pictured here is not The Boy
I used salt too, because, really, salty is salt-like. No gettin' around that one.. :)
ReplyDeleteNice job on your pictures.
I used salt too, so hey, great minds think alike?
ReplyDeleteBut the photos themselves are glorious! And that's what matters most.
ReplyDeleteForget the WWC photos for a moment, and let's take a look at the others. I must state for the record that if that is Boy, Boy is HOTT!
ReplyDeleteCat + Stick = Hours of entertainment.
ReplyDeleteI love the salt picture. CUTE dish!
Donations to the Alice Brain Trust welcome.
ReplyDeleteBWAHAHHAHAHAHA.
Bella is awesome. I'm off to peruse your flickr set.
But wait, who's the GUY? He's very hot. And he likes cats - score!
I actually loved the salt & sour pics you took! Very nice, fresh colors.
ReplyDeleteBella is quite the jumper. I wonder if there's an olympics for cats. She could qualify as a jumper I think.
LOVE that salt picture!!!
ReplyDeleteHey...does your man have elf ears?
It must have been early...because the Alice I know would have thrown a shot of tequila in there somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI like the color composition you used in your salt picture. (I think we all used salt!!)
ReplyDeleteHave you ever submitted a photo for LOLCATS? Bella's pictures look like good candidates. :)
I went very literal with things around the house too. Then I added some bonus shots. Feeling guilty, who? Looks like you and I were on the same page this week.
ReplyDeleteYour literal pictures are however beautiful.
As Steve Martin used to say (before he got all sophisticated and started writing pithy plays about artists and all)
ReplyDeleteWell, EXCUUUUUUUUSE ME!
I posted salt too. Why not? What is saltier than salt, after all? Who are we to judge?
Besides, I LOVE salt. There was even a fairy tale written about it.
I think.
Wow that kitty is tiny! She looks a lot bigger in close ups. (Duh.)
ReplyDeletei love the lemon pick.
ReplyDeletelemon is one of my favorite flavors...it works so well in both savory and sweet dishes
Man, Mr. Stick Holder is looking like he's having so much fun and is enjoying his life ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, good job, i like your salt dish! Bella is adorable.
ReplyDeletewhere's the bottle of tequila? yeah, i went there.
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me? With the CAT ACROBATICS? Enter that little girl in the high jump.
ReplyDeleteWow.
I LOVE midair pictures! Cats, kids, anybody. They just look so damn improbable. Easily amused, who me? Uh, yeah. Anyway, I LOVE THOSE PICTURES!!!! Such a cool cat.
ReplyDeleteI like your politics. Read your comment on Alexa's blog and wandered over here. Lucky me, cat pictures.
