this, folks, is karma

i'm being punished by the Powers That Be, i guess. they're not happy with me.

i went out for a friend's birthday last night. had a delightful time. i had my phone in the back pocket of my pants, so i could feel it vibrate over the noise of the bar when other people called to meet up with us. fine, right? yeah, until i got back into my car after taking the metro in from dc and realized my phone was no longer in my back pocket.

I LOST MY MOTHERFUCKING PHONE.

i am so frustrated right now. i've been calling my own number hoping someone has it and will answer, but the phone's been turned off so it goes straight to my voicemail. and the people in my phonebook whose names start with "A" haven't gotten in touch with me saying "somebody called the first name in your phone to say they found it." no, i had a black razr, so i'm sure someone found it on the seat of the metro and is now enjoying their awesome new phone. FUCK FUCK FUCK.

FUCK.

fucking karma.

  1. that BLOWS. that vulnerable, naked feeling of being without your phone...I can only imagine such horror.

don't beat yourself up--it's not really "karma"...unless you attained this razr by finding it as well!

  2. Hey, your karma is going to change, I can feel it. I mean, you clicked to save a diabetic cat - that HAS to count for SOMETHING! (At least in my book!!) ;)

  3. Agreed with pheebs. Unless you make it a habit of stealing other's phones, which is an entirely different post.

I hate losing stuff like that. Just makes me mad at me, whereas, if someone else lost my stuff, I'd be fine with it.

  4. You need to make a list a la My Name is Earl. A list of all you did wrong to. Then you will win a lottery ticket. Just my opinion.

  7. It's not karma. You didn't do anything wrong. It's just plain bad luck, but hey at least you didn't back someone else's car into a parked car the same day your car was in the shop, right? Oh wait, that was me. I've got the bad luck too. It's going around, I think.

  8. I'm with Hope ... not Karma. Karma is "what comes around goes around" thing. I insure my phones. My wife has a way of putting them in chocolate milk. If your plan is old, just up grade the phone.
