....because who doesn't like to start their day by driving a car straight into an office building?
sadly, you can't see the full comical effect here - i snapped that pic hurriedly with my phone while the policemen and firemen looked on somewhat disapprovingly - but the window there is completely smashed, and the hood of the car is all crumpled up. it looked so incredibly fake. like a staged movie set, or something.
(no one was hurt. it's acceptable to mock, that means.)so! yesterday was very exciting, since when i got home i had my prize package from fiona waiting for me! (fiona: i didn't link for Stalker Reasons, but let me know if you're OK with linkage yet..?) as she said on her blog, she sent me a patterson novel (knowing i'm a fan), treats for the kittens (so sweet!) and a tonks keychain, since she still has not conceded defeat in the kitten-naming arena :-)
as you can see, bella took to the tonks keychain immediately:
oliver was FAR more interested in the treats, though:
(more cat pictures here for all you cat-people-in-denial)
this probably means i should hold my own pay-it-foward-esque contest, eh? hmm... i'll have to think of something contesty. i SUCK at coming up with new ideas, though. i'll probably check out all the other pay-it-forward contests and copy one of THOSE. lazy people, unite!
That picture - hilarious! Just tell me that driver wasn't trying to park in the eldery, errr, handicap spot. On second thought, I don't think I want to know!
ReplyDeleteYay for care packages - they're the best, aren't they!?!
*I* was thinking of doing a pay it forward contest TOO! Isn't it funny that when you receive things from the internet, you just want to share the love with the world?
ReplyDeleteI can't believe some drove INTO your office building. How bizarre!
ReplyDeleteAlso, your cats are cute. But we already knew that. And Fiona is awesome. But we knew that too.
such a weird coincidence - the main street by my house was closed off this morning because someone drove their car through a house
ReplyDeletemust be a full moon tonight
Your kitties are TOO cute. Seriously. I might vomit, thats how cute they are lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd Bella has grown so much! I'm sure I don't have to tell you that tho..
ReplyDeleteYour kitties are adorable!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to start the day. Seriously. What were they thinking/not thinking?
ReplyDeleteI love your kitties! They're so sweet!
OMG! How does one do that in the morning, bright and early? Maybe he/she didn't have coffee yet?
ReplyDeleteKitties look so cute!
Haha! That's something you never expect to actually see in real life. Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteMy job involves DWI, and you would be amazed at the number of DWI arrests from people running into houses and buildings. It's a little scary really.
ReplyDeleteHa! How did that even HAPPEN?
ReplyDeletePerhaps he was just running late for work and thought it would be quicker to drive directly to his desk.
ReplyDeleteWhat? It could happen.
Oh, and can you please link to fiona? I promise not to stalk. I just want her to send me gifts, too.
I am always amazed of those pictures of people who drive into buildings. Whenever they interview them, they say stuff like, "I stepped on the gas instead of the brake."
ReplyDeleteLike, HOW does THAT happen? They must have no muscle memory AT ALL.
Your kitties are awesome. I love them.
Concede defeat? NEVER!! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, link away! I think my stalkers HAVE conceded defeat.
LOL! That picture is GREAT! My high school best friend drove into a building right after she got her license. She had a migraine and just "missed" the brake pedal. I laughed at her about that for years!
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for kitty pictures! I can't have a kitty (hubby is allergic), so I live vicariously through your pictures. So, so cute.
OOOOh!
ReplyDeleteSo was the driver drunk, or someone having a senior moment?
ReplyDeleterainbow photos are the best.
ReplyDeleteseriously.
:)
funny part is.....that car is probably the new CEO that your paying 6 figures, but can't park a car:P
ReplyDeleteCats!
